Where You'll Be Working
John Hunter Hospital is a growing Level 6 tertiary referral hospital and one of the busiest health services in NSW. As the pilot tertiary referral site for the NSW Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) implementation, the John Hunter Campus is in the final stages of an extensive redevelopment, including a state-of-the-art Pharmacy Department designed to support contemporary models of care.
The Pharmacy Department operates within a large, collegiate multidisciplinary environment with strong links to University of Newcastle and Hunter Medical Research Institute. The Clinical Service has established a progressive, team-based model of care, supporting an accredited residency program alongside strong commitments to Quality Improvement and research.

About The Role
The Clinical Team Leader is a key leadership position within the Pharmacy Department, combining advanced clinical expertise with people leadership. In this role, you will:
Lead, support and develop a high-performing clinical pharmacy team.
Deliver and oversee advanced clinical pharmacy services within a tertiary referral environment.
Champion innovation and play a central role in supporting the implementation of the NSW Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR).
Utilise emerging digital systems to enhance inpatient pharmaceutical care and service delivery.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.
You will be supported by a strong and experienced management team committed to mentoring, professional development and ongoing educational opportunities to further build your leadership and clinical capabilities.
About You
You are an experienced hospital pharmacist with extensive tertiary referral clinical pharmacy experience and a strong understanding of hospital policies and procedures. You will bring:
Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop team members.
A passion for advancing clinical pharmacy practice and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Experience working within complex healthcare systems and multidisciplinary environments.
A commitment to innovation and the ability to drive change, particularly in digital health initiatives.
Enthusiasm for contributing to education, residency training, quality improvement and research.
