The Role
A highly skilled, cutting-edge and experienced educator is sought for a full-time fixed term replacement position based at our Junior School (boys), Essendon Campus for the 2026 school year. Classroom teachers work collaboratively with colleagues and assist in the development of a curriculum that supports student care and wellbeing and the school’s culture of a thinking school.
This position is commencing from 27 January 2026 to 11 December 2026.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- relevant experience as a generalist classroom teacher
- expertise in the curriculum and in current pedagogical thinking;
- a commitment to student care and well-being;
- an understanding of and commitment to teaching single sex classes; and
- support for the school’s values, including support for a broad co-curricular program.
Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and hold VIT registration.
The School
Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School has over 3000 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East. We have outstanding staff, facilities and programmes to enhance student wellbeing and learning and develop creative, caring and critical thinkers.
