The Company
A global travel and leisure organisation operating across resorts, vacation ownership, and travel experiences, with a strong presence across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. The business offers the scale and stability of a global enterprise alongside a collaborative culture where finance plays a key role in supporting operational excellence.
The Role
The role is a key leadership position within the Hospitality Finance team and operates as a true 2IC to the Finance Lead. The position blends hands-on technical accounting with people leadership, senior stakeholder engagement, and significant exposure to complex, multi-jurisdictional operations.
The role has been identified as a succession hire, offering genuine medium-term progression for the right individual.
Duties will include:
* Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and group policies
* Manage external audit processes and maintain strong relationships with auditors and professional advisors
* Ensure all taxation obligations are met across multiple jurisdictions, including GST, BAS, FBT, income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing
* Review balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
* Coordinate preparation and lodgement of half-year and annual statutory financial statements
* Maintain robust financial controls and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen governance frameworks
* Oversee intercompany accounting processes and ensure appropriate controls are in place
* Lead annual budgeting processes for club and resort operations
* Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight and support informed commercial decision-making
* Foster a strong team culture aligned with company values, capability development, and engagement
The Candidate
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting with CA or CPA certification
* Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability
* Solid, hands-on taxation experience across multiple jurisdictions (non-negotiable)
* Experience working in complex, multi-entity and multi-currency environments
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
* A proactive, driven mindset with the appetite to step into broader leadership responsibility over time
