APS5/6 Technical Writer 3 months - with option to extend for another 3 months Minimum NV1 clearance Canberra location Key Responsibilities Conduct market research on comparable government procurements and contracting arrangements. Facilitate requirements gathering with multiple internal stakeholder groups. Interview subject matter experts and document business and technical requirements. Develop a detailed, procurement-ready Statement of Requirements and supporting artefacts. Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with style guidelines. Provide regular (weekly) progress updates throughout the engagement. Key Selection Criteria Mandatory: Demonstrated experience as a technical writer, including drafting standard operating procedures or similar complex documentation. Strong research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven ability to translate complex technical or operational requirements into clear written material. Experience reviewing and editing documentation to meet quality and style standards. Holder of a minimum NV1 security clearance. Desirable: Experience preparing procurement documentation for government or large, complex organisations. Familiarity with complex market approaches and procurement processes. Experience working in security‑sensitive or regulated environments.
