Projects & Energy Lawyer – Permanent Role
Are you a skilled lawyer looking for your next challenge? A highly regarded law firm has partnered with Elevate and is seeking a qualified lawyer to shape Australia’s energy transition. The role will involve contributing to strategic growth across the firm’s Property, Projects, and Real Assets practice, while developing expertise in energy and project law.
This is a full-time, permanent chance offering a friendly and supportive team culture + hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate project agreements, EPC contracts, and financing documents for major infrastructure and energy projects.
- Assist senior lawyers in managing complex transactions across property, projects, and real assets.
- Conduct legal research and provide advice on regulatory compliance, risk management, and project structuring.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of deals and maintain strong relationships.
- Support due diligence processes for acquisitions, joint ventures, and project financing.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with legal standards and client objectives.
About You
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with a strong background in corporate finance or construction law.
- Strong understanding of the compliance frameworks, risk management principles, and project structuring in the Australian legal context.
- Ability to assess complex legal issues and provide clear, commercially viable solutions.
- Experience with renewable energy, power projects, or large‑scale infrastructure transactions is highly desirable.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
