Responsibilities
* Manage a cross‐functional customer service team accountable for operations across station and train crew functions for the Southern Highlands and South Coast region, or Newcastle and Hunter region.
* Problem‐solve and investigate a vast range of matters to ensure appropriate action and remedial recommendations are taken, while promoting and delivering increased community and customer engagement.
* Lead the operation and delivery of train services and customer service on stations, manage assigned facilities, support service reliability with 24/7 supervision of crew and station operations, and drive cost control and business improvement initiatives to enable efficiency and patronage growth.
* Work in either region, requiring visits to stations across the region, in a permanent role.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant leadership and management experience, adept at managing unexpected events/issues, able to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure.
* Experience responsible for a large geographically dispersed team.
* Collegiate and collaborative leadership style with a proven track record in driving outcomes and building success across a diverse workforce.
* Strong influencing skills to support transformational change, working closely with internal and external stakeholders including customers, community groups, and local government.
* Demonstrated experience leading large, 24‐hour operational/front‐line services teams in a highly complex and industrial setting.
* Strong commercial management skills.
* Resilient and comfortable with workplace consultation in a complex safety and unionised environment.
* Motivated by a desire to make a real difference in NSW.
