Administration – Brisbane – Part Time. This permanent part-time opportunity at Icon Cancer Centre Chermside offers the chance to work closely with our specialists in a dynamic and supportive environment, helping deliver the best possible care to our patients. 
Your Role 
As a Medical Secretary, you’ll be the welcoming face of our oncology day hospital, supporting both patients and specialists. Your responsibilities will include: 
- Greeting patients and managing admission paperwork. 
- Scheduling appointments and preparing consult rooms. 
- Assisting with billing, invoicing, and health fund checks. 
- Ensuring smooth communication across the patient journey. 
- Handling general administrative tasks and correspondence. 
Roster Details: This is a permanent part-time role with a fortnightly rotating roster. 
- Week 1 (27 hours): Monday 9am–7pm; Thursday 8am–4:30pm; Friday 9am–7pm. 
- Week 2 (37 hours): Monday 9am–7pm; Wednesday 8am–5pm; Thursday 9am–7pm; Friday 9am–7pm. 
Please note: Start and finish times may vary slightly depending on site needs. 
Who We’re Looking For 
- A warm, proactive, and organised individual with a passion for patient care. 
- Experience in oncology or similar healthcare settings (advantageous). 
- Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and private health insurance processes. 
- Strong communication and time management skills. 
- Basic medical terminology and proficiency in Word and Excel.
