Job Title
A Visiting Medical Officer position is available in the Department of General Practice at Lithgow Hospital.
This role involves providing medical care to patients in a multidisciplinary team environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for assessment, investigation, and appropriate care of patients in Lithgow Hospital.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) and/or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). They will also have evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
Sound clinical knowledge of General Practice demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty is essential.

We offer a Fee-for-Service contract that involves on call roster. Successful applicants may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

Requirements
* Possess or be eligible for full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrate high-level interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Show commitment to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
