 
        
        DSA is currently looking for dedicated and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Goulburn team!
**Your role**:
- Supporting adults with mental health barriers and intellectual disabilities who can display psychosocial, verbal, and physical challenging behaviours 
- Following positive behavioral support plans to encourage participants to live independently 
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect 
- Support participants within the community - transport to appointments, shopping, events they wish to attend. 
- Promote choice and control and show willingness to participate in participants hobbies and interests 
- Live by our values and bring a positive, proactive, and engaging version of yourself!

**Additional requirements**:
- Previous experience supporting adults with challenging behaviours 
- Someone who is confident in de-escalating situations and has strong communication skills 
- Flexibility and availability to work on a rotating roster 
- Current NSW Driver's License (P2 and above) and vehicle. 
- A great understanding of person-centered active support and willingness to embrace this model of support 
- First Aid/ CPR | NDIS Worker Screening Clearance | WWCC | Covid19 vaccination 
- TCI training, epilepsy management training - desirable.
