Each season offers fresh opportunities to drive yields, enhance efficiency, and set new standards for sustainable Australian cropping.The RoleYou'll oversee an established team of six full-time staff, ensuring smooth operations year-round.
Your primary focus (80%) will be on the processing tomato crop - an intensive, high-input operation where attention to detail is paramount.
You'll also manage winter cropping operations (20%), coordinating contractors and seasonal activities (harvesting across both crops is contracted).
Reporting directly to the General Manager, your role combines practical leadership with strategic input, ensuring targets are consistently achieved and exceeded.Note: whilst high-input cropping/row cropping experience is essential, experience specifically in processing tomatoes is not.

Our ideal candidate will also ideally have:~4+ years of farming experience in irrigated cropping / high-input crops (processing tomatoes, leafy greens, cotton, or similar).
