About the role
As a Technical Business Analyst at MUFG Retirement Solutions for one of our clients GESB, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering high‑quality technology solutions that support our business operations and enhance client outcomes. You’ll work across the full software development lifecycle — from requirements gathering and analysis through to testing, implementation, and production support. You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams and vendors to deliver solutions that are efficient, secure and aligned with business goals.

In this role you'll be responsible to:
- Partner with business users and technical teams to gather, analyse and document business and system requirements.
- Develop and execute test cases, perform system testing and support UAT activities.
- Collaborate with developers and vendors to ensure solutions meet business objectives and quality standards.
- Complete traceability matrixes as part of solution design alignment with business requirements and other IT delivery teams, as required.
- Investigate and analyse production issues, supporting ongoing system enhancements and improvements.
- Contribute to delivery of revenue‑generating and strategic technology initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with MUFG Retirement Solutions information security, governance and risk management policies.
What you’ll bring:
- Min 3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst with exposure to Superannuation, Insurance, Managed Funds or Registry Services is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and structured delivery methodologies.
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
- A good understanding of structured service delivery methodologies and experience in conducting business process re‑engineering.
- Experience with SQL, MS Office tools and business process modelling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills in order to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and provide constructive input into the development of appropriate technical solutions.
- Ability to learn new technologies and be able to work and deliver high‑quality documentation in a challenging environment.
- Experience working in an outsourced or offshored environment is desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Business or related discipline is desirable.
