Who are we looking for?
We seek an empathetic, proactive individual with a strong background in mental health and wellbeing to support employee mental health across our organisation. You should be a clear communicator, able to convey initiatives effectively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a non-judgemental attitude. Your expertise in mental health will support psychosocial wellbeing strategies and workplace safety, including delivering mental health first aid training (licensing support provided). Building strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels is essential.
What can you expect to be doing?
1. Develop, implement, and evaluate mental health strategies to address risks and improve workplace psychosocial controls.
2. Provide expert advice on psychosocial risks, critical incidents, and fitness-for-work matters.
3. Support leaders and employees with fitness-for-work assessments and wellbeing plans.
4. Collaborate with Work Health Safety and People & Culture teams to reduce stigma and increase mental health awareness.
5. Facilitate training programs, support post-incident responses, and monitor trends to enhance mental health initiatives.
What do you need to bring?
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health, such as a Bachelor's or Master's in psychology or related field, emphasizing psychological health.
* Experience in trauma-informed care.
* Expertise in training and mental health education.
* Ability to identify and address psychological factors affecting work performance and safety.
* Strong rapport-building skills across organisational levels.
* Proficiency in analyzing health and safety data and interpreting legislation and policies.
* Excellent written communication skills for reports and proposals, with strong organizational skills.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and mediation abilities.
