Why this role matters
As a Traffic Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping how our community moves. From planning and designing local traffic improvements to engaging with residents and stakeholders, your work will directly enhance road safety and liveability.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing Councils Customer Service traffic requests, including managing minor road improvement works (line marking, signage, concreting).
Coordinating projects related to the planning, design, and construction of civil works for Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) improvements
Collaborating with consultants, contractors, internal teams, and external authorities to deliver high-quality traffic solutions
Managing capital works programs, including investigation, planning, and project delivery
Responding to internal and external inquiries with practical design solutions
Engaging with Service Authorities and local communities on traffic treatment designs and locations
What You'll Bring
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in traffic engineering, road safety, or similar fields
Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficiency in engineering software and tools
Knowledge of relevant Australian safety standards and government regulations
