We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our team in Brisbane. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting and taxation services to our diverse client base. This is a fully remote role where you can work from the comfort of your own home while finding that perfect work-life balance.
What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for a number of small business clients where you will:
* Prepare financial statements, BAS/IAS, tax returns, and advisory reports
* Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping for clients
* Advise on relevant accounting, tax and compliance matters
* Liaise with clients, tax authorities and other professionals as needed
* Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
What we're looking for
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field
* At least 12 months of experience in a similar Accountant role, preferably in a public practice or professional services environment
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to providing exceptional client service
