Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is looking for a reliable and motivated part time Housekeeper to join our team and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our Durungaling Hostel, Newcastle. Key Responsibilities of a Housekeeper:
• Clean and maintain resident rooms, kitchens bathrooms, office spaces and communal areas.
• Make sure all areas are safe and hygienic for residents and staff through conducting room inspections with the Manager.
• Manage the laundry service
• Handle cleaning supplies and equipment carefully and follow safety guidelines.
• Assistance with other tasks when needed.
What We're Looking for in a Housekeeper:
• Available to work weekdays 9:00am – 1:30pm (45 hours per fortnight)
• No cleaning experience needed—just a good attitude and willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work on your own when needed.
• Physical fitness – you will be on your feet moving around, including regular use of stairs.
Prior to engagement, you are required to:
• Provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
• Undergo, obtain and maintain a Satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
• Meet Fitness for Duty requirements.
• Hold and maintain NSW Working with Children Check.
