We are seeking a hands-on Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of a well-maintained boutique property in Kew. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys autonomy, follows structured processes, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of service and presentation.
About the Role
As Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the property, ensuring guests receive a professional and consistent experience while the building and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
This is a practical, operational role suited to someone comfortable with both guest-facing duties and hands-on maintenance coordination.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily hotel operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs
* Ensure common areas (lobbies, lifts, car park, laundry areas) are clean, safe, and well presented
* Perform and coordinate basic maintenance and hands-on repairs (e.g. air-conditioning filters, rangehoods, minor repairs)
* Manage internal laundry operations and coordinate contracted laundry services
* Respond to operational issues and urgent matters in a timely and professional manner
* Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and records in line with SOPs
* Liaise with contractors and service providers as required
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements
About You
* Previous experience in hotel management, caretaking, property management, or a similar operational role
* Practical, hands-on approach with basic maintenance skills
* Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail
* Able to work independently and manage time effectively
* Comfortable following structured SOPs and reporting requirements
* English required; Mandarin language skills highly regarded
* Must have valid Australian work rights
