We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to assume responsibility for the planning and monitoring of workflow, and the supervision of the workshop floor. The role is based at our factory in Matraville and works closely with a creative and collaborative team.
**About the role**:
Reporting directly to the Creative Director your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Actively learn workshop processes and procedures
- Hands on management of workshop staff including daily and weekly scheduling to ensure a streamlined workflow.
- Monitor production to maximise efficiency and minimise non-conformance
- Ensure quality standards and set company KPI's are adhered to
- Produce daily/weekly production reports and schedule updates incorporating immediate scheduling changes if and when required
- Ensure monthly targets are met and/or exceeded
- Participate in management meetings
- Liaise with the other members of the management team regarding factory lead times and other production issues
- Implementation of management systems
- Ongoing updates to production manuals and procedures
- Develop and implement preventative and other plant and equipment maintenance programs
- Oversee workshop equipment and maintenance
- Produce operational budgets for the manufacturing area
- Coordinate orders for workshop materials and equipment
- Implementation of OH&S requirements in the workshop
- Organise and supervise overtime as required
**Skills and Experience**:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role in a small-medium sized business - preferably with a manufacturing or luxury retail focus
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to analyse and report on data to inform business strategy
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets and Drive
- Filemaker skills an advantage
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Team building skills
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Confident customer service skills
