Responsibilities: You’ll work closely with clients to prepare for and resolve risk reviews, audits, and disputes with the ATO, Industry, and various state and territory revenue authorities, The role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse client base and collaborate with legal and tax specialists, helping you strengthen your written and verbal advocacy skills while providing advice across areas such as taxation and administrative law, The Tax Dispute Resolution & Controversy team operates on a national scale, allowing team members to contribute to matters across jurisdictions and work alongside colleagues and partners from different states, Many engagements also involve working with specialist groups across legal, tax, and transaction services — both locally and internationally — given the team’s strong presence among multinational clients. Key Skills: Proven experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law, and/or tax dispute resolution and controversy, gained within a professional services firm, law firm, or the Australian Taxation Office. Experience within a Big 4 environment is highly regarded, Ability to deliver integrated client solutions and exercise sound judgment, collaborating across legal and tax disciplines to meet client needs effectively, Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality, value-added services to clients, Strong interpersonal, influencing, and project management capabilities, with a proven ability to work within and lead high-performing teams, Skilled at building and nurturing client relationships, with a proactive approach to strengthening engagement, Willingness to contribute to the development and delivery of internal training programs, sharing expertise to support team capability building, A high level of integrity and ethical conduct, aligning with the organisation’s values, Legal experience within Australia and/or other Commonwealth jurisdictions.
