The Opportunity
Take on full executive leadership and P&L responsibility for procurement, inventory and logistics across 5 sites in three states producing packaged meat and small goods for all our brands - The British Sausage Ham & Bacon Company, Peppercorn Food Company, Roccos Butchery, Tradition Smallgoods, Princi Smallgoods and Caves Road Farms.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working alongside leaders in operations, finance, QA, NPD, special projects and sales & marketing, you will play a key role in driving growth and business efficiency. You will oversee significant technology and plant capex projects for our growing business and play a part in driving a safety culture. As an executive you will be accountable for your P&L, budgets and relevant board reporting.
Some highlights from the position description include:
Procurement
* Develop and implement purchasing and supply strategies
* Closely manage the cost, quality and supply of key protein ingredients.
* Manage vendor relationships and contracts
* Closely monitor forecasts and future demand to achieve site operation and service level optimisation
Inventory
* Collaborate with operations planning and sales resources to ensure production plans are efficient, service levels are achieved, and FG stocks are optimised.
* Regularly monitor and report all stock levels.
Logistics
* Continually review all transport and warehousing operations to ensure solutions are in place for current and future needs
* Operational optimisation of the Supply Chain including the utilisation of warehouses, modes of transport and utilisation of transport equipment.
Key Projects
* Capex for a greenfield chilled/cooked/fermented smallgoods manufacturing facility.
* Complete capex and implementation of supply chain technology
You are an experienced supply chain leader
You are ready for a national leadership role with a growing, fast-paced, highly reputable national business. You bring significant experience in FMCG manufacturing supply chain management, contemporary leadership, contribution to large capital projects and ownership of P&L.
