This role is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced professional to join our organization and contribute to the success of our telecommunications business.
As a Commercial Evaluation Manager, you will be responsible for leading financial performance management, commercial management, margin management, stakeholder management and policies and procedures.
Your primary objective will be to drive commercial guidance and knowledge within the Telecommunications team, influencing skills and margin improvement focus.
Key Accountabilities:
* Financial Performance Management
o Provide analysis of business performance including profitability, revenue, pricing and cost of goods sold.
o Review product profitability to improve profitability for the Telecommunications Group.
* Commercial Management
o Perform expert commercial evaluation and return on investment for business opportunities using discounted cashflow methodology.
o Apply generally accepted accounting principles to arrive at the EBIT position.
* Margin Management
o Provide thought leadership as it pertains to the Telecommunications cost model ensuring alignment across the business.
o Update the cost model as required in order to meet business and customer needs.
* Sales Support
o Conduct analysis of commercial opportunities.
o Identify and provide solutions to commercial issues and mitigating risks to the business.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce (mandatory).
* Qualified member of CPA/CIMA/CA or similar and/or a postgraduate degree in Applied Finance or similar (desirable).
* Proven experience in a commercial or financial role in a rail or telecommunications environment.
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in product costing, budgeting, forecasting as well as management reporting.
* Contract management exposure in a medium sized organisation or other high technology environments (desirable).
