Maintenance Operative / Handyman - Multi Site (company vehicle provided) Our clients are a growing Property Management business and have an immediate requirement to hire a Maintenance Operative/Handyman to carry out vital maintenance services responding to tenants' needs across their portfolio.
Key responsibilities: Working as part of the maintenance team to respond to all basic maintenance and repair issues in the buildings as highlighted by the property management department.
Complete multi-disciplined types of maintenance both inside and outside our properties such as plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical checks, groundwork, and painting.
Ensure that works are performed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
General duties include: Plumbing, e.g., unblocking drains/toilets, investigating & stopping leaks.
Basic electrics, e.g., changing light fittings, replacing plugs and fuses, replacing light bulbs.
Decorating, e.g., stain blocking, touching up walls/woodwork, fencing.
Moving heavy items.
Collection, transportation, and delivery of items.
Basic repairs, e.g., replace door handles, toilet seats, shower hoses and heads.
Clearing roof surfaces and gutters.
Cleaning carpets as required.
Assessing void flats between tenancies and implementing remedial works to kitchens and bathrooms as required.
Attending departmental and other relevant meetings, as requested.
Undergoing appropriate training as available and as determined in conjunction with the Property Maintenance Manager.
Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by the Property Maintenance Team Leader or other senior staff.
Hours of work: Monday-Thursday 9am-5:30pm, Friday 4:00pm.
Salary: £32-38k pa dependent on skills and experience.
