Salary: This role offers a competitive salary to support the full end-to-end payroll process in Australia, covering approximately 800 permanent and 200 casual employees.
Job Description: The successful candidate will assist the payroll manager and ensure payroll is processed accurately and to deadlines. Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with the full end-to-end payroll process in Australia.
* Providing backup for the Payroll Manager during absences.
* Assisting with payroll-related general ledger activities, financial reports, and month-end processes.
* Experience with Novated leases and monthly reconciliation.
* Knowledge of payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations.
* Implementing salary sacrifice arrangements.
* Preparing and lodging statutory returns and ABS requirements.
* Implementing best practices and standardizing processes and procedures.
* Interacting with the business on payroll matters.
* Performing other duties as required by your manager.
* Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Extensive knowledge of Sage MicroPay.
* Experience in a similar Australian payroll role, preferably in a professional services environment.
* Current understanding of legislation related to payroll, e.g., Single Touch Payroll.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
