Job Description
In this role, you will primarily:
* Drive hands‐on business development across key industrial customers in the region.
* Build strong, long‐term customer relationships through regular site visits, technical discussions and proactive engagement.
* Identify new business opportunities, tendering prospects and growth pathways across existing and emerging clients.
* Review pump specifications, provide technical support and prepare proposals tailored to customer needs.
* Act as the technical and commercial face of the operation, representing the brand in the field.
You will also:
* Oversee operational workflow to ensure orders, jobs and repairs are delivered on time, on spec and safely.
* Support process improvements and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
* Provide daily guidance to a small operations‐focused team of technicians and support staff.
* Manage backlog reporting, operational metrics and customer delivery performance.
* Integrate operational activities with commercial goals to maximise customer outcomes and facility profitability.
The Successful Applicant
You will bring:
* 10+ years' experience in pumps or closely related rotating/mechanical equipment.
* Strong technical capability enabling credible, solutions‐driven conversations with industrial customers.
* Demonstrated success in business development, field sales or customer‐facing technical roles.
* The ability to independently plan and execute customer visits, growth strategies and pipeline activity.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‐building skills.
* Experience managing or coordinating small operational teams (advantageous but not the primary focus).
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, operations management or similar.
* A proactive, driven, hands‐on approach with a passion for growing customer relationships.
