Semcom Visual Communication is an award winning Below The Line Design & Production Agency specialised in providing turnkey Print, POS, Packaging, Trade Promotion, Premiums & Branding Solutions for leading brands in the FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Electronics, Snackfood, Beverage, Cosmetic and Health & Beauty industries.We are looking for an experienced Production Procurement Manager, that is enthusiastic, dynamic, approachable & driven.
The role will entail:
* Estimating & overseeing Production of all forms of Below the Line materials including Printed Materials, POS Displays, Packaging, GWP & Promotional Materials.
* Working together with an experienced in-house team of Account Managers, Graphic Designers, Industrial Designers and Production Managers, supporting the Account Management Team in estimating and managing the production of projects.
* Sourcing & preparation of multiple competitive quotes
* Creation of client quotations which may involve single item quotes or large campaign budget spreadsheets involving multiple items
* Creation of supplier purchase orders
* Sourcing new suppliers, production techniques, new materials & print finishes
* Co-ordinating both small 1 off projects as well as large campaigns which involve multiple printed components, suppliers and delivery locations
* Reviewing and Approving Proofing of projects prior to production
* Monitoring of production & ensuring quality, on time, on budget delivery
* Co-ordinating print delivery, split deliveries, interstate deliveries, packing, kitting, assembly, pre packing and fulfilment
* Management of deliveries to 3PL warehousing & transport requirements.
Ideally, you will have:
- Prior experience in Production Management in a similar role, either within an Agency or Production house- Familiarity with the Australian Retail landscape, example: Grocery, Pharmacy, Consumer Electronics, Liquor, Petrol & Convenience channels- Knowledge and understanding of both Offset & Digital production of Printed Materials, Point of Sale Materials, types of finishing, die cutting, and manufacturing processes.- Ability to procure from quality trusted trade partners based on their manufacturing specialty, capabilities & limitations, and to continue to build loyal, fair & respectful relationships with them.- Be proficient in Office / Google software, especially Excel / Google Sheets and ideally have experience with using job management programs.- Be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite software, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat, for review of artwork prior to production.- Have an environmentally conscious approach to POS procurement with the ability to source and suggest Ecocentric improvements to meet client requirements.
