**Your new company**
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks state-wide; delivering citizen services; and building and maintaining the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project is the final piece of the North-South Corridor, the most significant infrastructure project ever undertaken in South Australia. Set to unlock Adelaide's traffic network, the T2D project will stimulate economic activity, support thousands of jobs and help ensure people, produce and products arrive where they need to be safer and sooner.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Planning and Design T2D Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of engagement strategies, with a particular focus on supporting the planning and design elements of the T2D Project. You will also be responsible for supporting the mentoring of more junior members of the team.
With experience delivering engagement on infrastructure or other complex projects, you can think strategically and will have exceptional written and communication skills. You are politically astute and able to proactively identify and address sensitive issues, create meaningful opportunities for community involvement and ensure the social value of the project is maximised.
You are able to work concurrently across a range of workstreams, alongside a broad mix of internal stakeholders, with a focus on driving 'best for project' outcomes.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing engagement strategies on infrastructure or other complex projects
- Ability to identify opportunities to maximise the social value of the project
- Experience mentoring team members
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, delivering clear and concise content appropriate for the intended target audience
- Experience in building effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to accurately and concisely negotiate outcomes that provide a resolution to all involved parties
- Demonstrated experience preparing all engagement collateral, with a high level of attention to detail
- A degree in a relevant discipline
- IAP2 qualifications are desirable
You must be willing to obtain or hold a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check to be successful in obtaining this role.
