Job Description
Manage Prod, Non-prod & DR (Standby/cascaded standby) databases on RAC and Exadata
Troubleshoot Oracle Real Application Cluster issues
Configure and troubleshoot Dataguard issues
Manage databases on VCS and troubleshoot VCS cluster issues
Set up and troubleshoot Oracle Replication
Configure and manage Oracle wallet
Manage database backup, restore, recovery, update statistics, rebuild and reorganize indexes, defrag tables, replication, partitioning, database maintenance plan
Monitor instances, configure and enable alerts using OEM
Set up privileged access management reports in OEM
Query optimization and performance tuning (SQL Profiler, execution plan, performance monitor)
Expertise in at least one scripting language (Shell/Perl)
Strong communication & management skills; on-site/offshore and client coordination
Provide 24/7 support and maintenance to all database instances on 11g, 12c (CDB & PDB), 19c
Respond and troubleshoot database-related problems reported by customers
Automate routine tasks
Provide rotational on-call support
Prepare knowledge articles and share with the team on day-to-day activities
RDBMS S/W installation, database server builds, applying patches, upgrading, configuring, troubleshooting Oracle 12c, 19c
Required Skills and Competencies
Essential:Minimum of 8 years of Database Design experience and 10 years of Oracle product consulting skills
Preferred:Proficiency levels: Beginner (B), Advanced (A), Expert (E)
