Accountant - Bundamba | Flexible Hours (Full-Time or Part-Time)

The Opportunity
This position sits within a collaborative and high-performing finance team, offering exposure across the full accounting function. You will work closely with senior leadership, providing valuable insights that influence business performance and operational outcomes.
This is more than a transactional accounting role - it's an opportunity to add real value, identify improvements, and be involved in key financial processes and projects.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
* Support cashflow management, reporting, and forecasting activities
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports for senior stakeholders
* Conduct variance analysis, including MAR reporting, and provide insights
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies across financial records and reports
* Oversee invoicing and order entry processes to ensure accurate revenue recognition
* Maintain internal controls and assist with audit requirements
* Prepare audit schedules, statutory reporting, and support tax compliance activities
* Partner with external advisors to ensure compliance with financial regulations
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies
* Contribute to finance-related projects and broader business initiatives
About You
* CPA qualified (essential)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience across the full finance function
* Systems experience with Xero and/or SAP highly regarded
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
* Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical capability
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* Well-organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
