This is a challenging role that requires an individual who can effectively engage with children, young people, and their kinship families.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide case management services to children and young people in statutory Kinship Care placements.
2. Manage multiple caseloads of children and young people living in Kinship Care arrangements.
3. To enhance and build on available formal and informal family and community supports for children and young people in kinship arrangements.
4. To assist families in providing the best possible care arrangements for children and young people unable to live with their birth parents.
Essential skills include experience working with children, young people, and families through an attachment and trauma-based lens. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
