Functional Business Analyst – Finance & HR
Location: Parramatta
Contract: Daily rate $494.72 – $620.00 plus super
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 30/09/2026 (potential to extend)
We are seeking a Functional Business Analyst with strong Finance and HR experience to join our BPO team supporting a major NSW Government department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to business transformation initiatives, delivering flexible, scalable processes and technology to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse and translate business processes, service requirements, and data to enhance business performance.
Investigate problems, evaluate options, and provide recommendations for current and existing services.
Support projects delivering financial, IT, and service management transformations.
Document and analyse business processes and system requirements, including creating detailed process diagrams.
Manage and communicate change impacts, risks, issues, and interdependencies across multiple project streams.
Engage with stakeholders on complex and sensitive consultations, negotiations, and business improvements.
Deliver data-driven insights to support decision-making and organisational strategies.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting business transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of Finance and HR processes.
Ability to document, analyse, and improve processes with clear, high-quality deliverables.
Experience managing change impacts, risks, and interdependencies across projects.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Desirable Experience:
Experience in Finance and HR transactional processes.
Understanding of shared services operations, including payroll and financial services (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable).
Creation of high-quality documentation for both clients and internal business use.
