A large, complex organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its high performing procurement function. This team delivers strategic sourcing, commercial advisory and contract management support across a diverse portfolio of goods and services.
Your new role
As an experienced Procurement Specialist, you will take ownership of complex, high‑value procurement activities from initiation through to contract award. The role requires demonstrated capability in running full end‑to‑end tenders, including scoping, market analysis, sourcing strategy development, tender documentation, evaluation and negotiation.
You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are commercially sound, compliant with internal frameworks, and delivered in line with probity expectations. You will also contribute to building strong supplier relationships and will actively manage supplier performance throughout the contract lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading end‑to‑end procurement processes, including RFT/Q planning, preparation, evaluation and negotiation.
* Advising stakeholders on sourcing strategies, commercial risks and market conditions.
* Managing contract development, variations and supplier performance discussions.
* Preparing tender documentation and managing evaluation panels.
* Providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced procurement team members.
* Maintaining accurate contract registers and supporting ongoing contract management activities.
* Ensuring consistent application of procurement frameworks, policies and probity requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
* 5+ years' experience in procurement and contract management within a complex environment.
* Proven hands‑on experience leading end‑to‑end tenders, from strategy development through to award.
* Strong commercial acumen and confidence negotiating with suppliers.
* Experience developing and managing supplier relationships.
* Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
