Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Supply & Distribution Manager to oversee our supply chain operations, procurement, inventory control, and distribution activities.
About the Role.
This full-time position will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, and coordinating the supply, storage, and distribution of goods for The Fisho. The successful applicant will ensure the company's logistics and inventory systems operate efficiently, meet customer requirements, and align with organisational goals.
This position aligns with ANZSCO – Supply & Distribution Manager, and the listed duties reflect the responsibilities outlined under that classification.
Key Responsibilities
As the Supply & Distribution Manager, your duties will include:
* Developing, implementing, and monitoring purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies, policies, and plans.
* Preparing and maintaining plans to ensure required stock levels are achieved at optimal cost.
* Negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
* Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to maintain appropriate stock control.
* Operating recording systems to track all goods movement, ensuring timely reordering and restocking.
* Liaising with management and customers regarding outbound goods and logistics requirements.
* Overseeing and verifying purchase, storage, and distribution transactions.
* Directing and supervising staff activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety policies.
* Ensuring that products and services are provided efficiently to meet client and customer needs.
* Working at front of house to understand what packaging, types of products and customers would like to make the warehouse run smoother.
Skills and Experience.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Supply & Distribution Management position.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
* Proven experience in procurement, logistics coordination, and inventory management.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in inventory management or ERP systems (preferred).
