Procurement Operations Partner Job Overview

This role is part of a team that undergoes significant transformation to align with best practice and deliver greater value.

The Procurement team at Greater Dandenong City Council is seeking a dedicated professional to support the operational backbone of procurement and purchasing activities across the organization.

The new role has been created to strengthen contract management systems, improve data integrity, and enhance compliance and reporting functions.

The successful candidate will manage procurement systems, oversee purchase order processes, maintain vendor master data, and support utility contract administration.

This includes being the go-to expert for Vendor Panel administration, supplier onboarding, and procurement reporting, as well as contributing to forward planning and supporting the Procurement Steering Committee.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of local government purchasing systems and contract management platforms such as Vendor Panel.

Experience in utility contract support, supplier onboarding, and performance reporting is essential.

The key skills required include managing purchase orders, vendor master data, utility management, and procurement reporting with precision and compliance.
