Established almost 40 years ago, Recopak is still family owned and has been building well respected and proven machinery over the years, making itself the go to manufacturer of Australian built case packing and robot palletising equipment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
With the expansion of our company, Recopak is looking for a Controls engineer or Electrician wanting to advance their skills in the Controls / Automation area. The right attitude is valued. The position plays a leading role in the deployment of electrical control systems. This includes design, documentation, testing and commissioning of materials handling and packaging machinery. The position also provides substantial opportunities to travel across Australia & New Zealand in order to fulfil the work requirements.
DUTIES
· Development of functional specifications
· Design electrical systems and drawings.
· Design pneumatic systems and drawings.
· Managing the procurement of parts, the manufacture of cabinets and the electrical installation
· Design, commission and implement code for a range of PLCs, HMIs and other Automation hardware.
· Work with an experienced team to come up with new ideas and solutions for a wide range of customers.
· Preparation of test plans and operator & technical manuals.
· Install and commission projects Australia wide.
· Based in Cobram or surrounds.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Positive and willing to learn attitude is a must.
· Able to work well as a team and independently.
· Punctual and well presented.
· Sound knowledge of requirements of AS3000 & AS4024.1
· Experience in machine control, safety and functional safety principles
· A good understanding of CAD, Rockwell and Sick software packages.
· A good understanding of Rockwell, Sick & Festo hardware, Ethernet IP and IOL networks.
· Willing to get their hands dirty from time to time.
· Willingness to travel during the installation and commissioning phase of a project.
· Good written and verbal skills.
