As our new Principal Business Analyst, you'll be at the centre of connecting strategy and ideas to delivery, ensuring that every piece of work contributes to meaningful outcomes for QLeave.
Using your expertise in business analysis and transformation, you will: Work with business leaders to shape their ideas into well-formed initiatives, whether they become business-as-usual improvements, smaller projects, or transformational programs.
Review and analyse business processes and practices to identify operational and strategic improvement opportunities.
Guide and influence the business to embed new ways of working, including new systems and processes.
Escalate and resolve complex issues through clear options analysis and persuasive briefings.
Guide the development of new or revised policies and procedures to support initiatives.
Work across programs, projects, and business-as-usual initiatives from ideation through to benefits realisation.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, business representatives, and external vendors to support go live readiness.
Contribute to the development of work instructions, training, test plans, testing, and defect management.
Provide knowledge transfer and capability uplift to enable ongoing support of implemented solutions.
This position reports to the Program Manager, Enterprise Program Planning and Delivery and has no supervisory responsibilities.
What we're looking for We're looking for someone who can bring clarity and structure to complex and sometimes ambiguous initiatives, with a strong ability to deliver results through collaboration and a focus on outcomes.
You'll need to be skilled at working with people across all levels of the organisation, building trusted relationships and supporting stakeholders to achieve their goals.
You'll also have a knack for seeing the bigger picture, connecting the dots between legislation, business processes, and tools like D365, and delivering practical, people-focused solutions that align with organisational priorities.
You will demonstrate: Extensive experience in business analysis or similar roles focused on business transformation or process improvement.
Proven ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous and complex environments.
Strong experience engaging with executive and senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Highly developed workshop facilitation skills to elicit, synthesise, and validate requirements.
Experience embedding new work practices and ensuring benefits realisation.
Strong solution design capability aligned with organisational quality standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across both business and technical audiences.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role; however, formal training and/or experience in business analysis at a program or project level will be highly regarded.
