Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to take on the role of Environmental Advisor. As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing environmental compliance within a designated operational area and becoming the primary contact and subject matter expert for all environmental compliance responsibilities. This role will also require you to manage projects and deliver all aspects of environmental reporting.
* Management of operational performance in one of the most unique mining environments in Australia.
You will lead and drive the implementation of management plans and monitoring programs including the results analysis and reporting. In addition, you will participate in monitoring programs and deliver the environment department strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Management of the GIS and mapping system (ARCGIS).
* Liaising and communicating effectively across multiple levels of the workforce and third parties.
* Managing environmental projects and assisting with the development of Environmental Authority amendments.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in the field of Environmental Science or Ecology.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience (3 - 5 years) in mining or heavy industry experience and demonstrated ability in project management.
* A strong safety focus, required for promoting site safety standards.
* Capability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver consistent high-quality results.
