We are seeking a high-performing individual to join a nationally significant team working to improve the way mental health care is accessed, delivered, and measured in Australia. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to digital innovation and data-driven policy in the mental health space.

Locations: Canberra or flexible (remote/hybrid considered)
Classification: APS6 Equivalent
Engagement Type: Labour hire
Commencement date: Mid July (for an initial 12 months contract)

About the RoleAs a key member of a high-impact team, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of a national mental health website. Your work will help improve how Australians find and access care, aligning with recent national recommendations. You'll also play a vital role in ensuring the platform remains user-focused, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage Commonwealth procurement and contract processes in line with CPRs, including drafting documentation, managing evaluations, and ensuring legislative compliance

* Prepare and manage contracts, variations, and grant documentation, including Grant Opportunity Guidelines

* Contribute to the delivery and enhancement of key digital tools such as:

* A national mental health service navigation website

* The Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST)

* Support the implementation of reforms from the Digital Navigation Project.
* Liaise with stakeholders across PHNs, sector partners, service providers, and lived experience groups to ensure practical implementation and co-design

* Draft high-quality correspondence, briefings, contracts, and guidance material

* Conduct user acceptance testing for website and tool updates

* Monitor usage and uptake data to inform improvements

* Support rollout of tool adaptations (e.g. for different age groups) and work with PHNs to embed them in service delivery

* Contribute to program delivery across related national initiatives (e.g. Kids Hubs, Mental Health Centres)


What You'll Bring

* Experience in procurement and contract management in a government context

* Strong policy development and stakeholder engagement skills

* Excellent communication, writing, and briefing skills

* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

* Familiarity with digital or mental health policy is highly desirable
