About the Role
* Lead a high-performing finance team across multiple jurisdictions.
* Partner with executives in engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
* Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer on financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
* Drive job costing and project accounting system upgrades, enabling performance tracking, margin analysis, and KPI reporting.
* Play a key role in systems and process improvement initiatives.
This position is designed as a succession plan for the Chief Financial Officer, offering genuine long-term career growth.
What We're Looking For
* Proven finance and accounting leadership experience with a hands-on approach.
* Expertise in project and cost accounting.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, AASB, US GAAP, and managing cross-border operations.
* Advanced financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
* Interest and capability in systems implementation and process optimisation.
* Advantageous: familiarity with government contracts, R&D tax incentives, export finance.
* Industry experience in engineering, aerospace, defence, or advanced manufacturing (preferred but not essential).
* CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Ideal for an analytical, commercially astute Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or FP&A lead seeking a true 2IC role with a clear path to CFO.
