Role Overview This position is part of the newly formed Information Governance and Digital Enablement (IGDE) directorate, which is launching a multi-stream program. The Program Support Officer will play a central role in ensuring seamless daily operations for a dynamic and expanding team. Collaboration, continuous learning, and mutual respect define the team's ethos, with Agile and Lean practices shaping how work is done. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Director and Program Manager, the Program Support Officer will contribute to the successful execution of the program across three delivery teams. Their primary focus will be on providing high-quality administrative and logistical support. Program Coordination and Administrative Support Work with team members to refine internal procedures across records management, reporting, and financial processes Serve as the document custodian for all key program materials Offer secretariat assistance for governance groups, including program and project boards Operational and Team Support Manage practical tasks such as booking events and meetings, maintaining shared calendars and inboxes, overseeing onboarding and offboarding, and coordinating equipment and supplies By maintaining reliable systems and timely support, the Program Support Officer helps ensure the team has the resources and information needed to meet its goals. The role offers room for creativity, proactive problem solving, and both independent and team-based work. Skills and Experience Essential Previous experience in comparable roles, ideally within the Queensland Government Proven ability to support busy teams managing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders Strong communication skills, with a talent for crafting polished project documentation and reviewing others’ work for clarity and accuracy Outstanding organisational abilities, with a knack for prioritisation, time management, and knowing when to escalate Confident in resolving issues under pressure with diplomacy, collaboration, and professionalism Desirable Familiarity with Agile or Scrum environments is highly regarded Exposure to tools such as Content Manager DRMS or FieldGlass would be beneficial About You You thrive in evolving environments where adaptability and a positive mindset are key.
