The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Partnership and Development Manager, with a strong research background, to join our team at the Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR). This pivotal new role supports the Director in delivering the Institute’s strategy and operations, and is primarily responsible for leading business development initiatives, including leading research and evaluation approaches for tender and grant opportunities. As a key member of our team, you will manage a range of strategic and operational activities to develop an expanded and diversified portfolio of partnerships within the sector, along with designing, writing and delivering research and evaluation tenders and research opportunities. You will drive new opportunities, penetrate new markets, and foster relationships with the corporate sector, government bodies, and other agencies to secure competitive research grants and project contracts.

In this dynamic role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape your own path by developing strategies for research growth, managing key stakeholder relationships, overseeing project delivery, and driving successful business development.

About You

* Experienced Professional: You hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or bring extensive experience in business development management, research, and commercial expertise within a complex environment
* Research Support Expertise: Your strong research support skills allow you to develop tenders, grants, including designing research and evaluation programs of work, contributing to successful business development outcomes
* Commercial & Financial Acumen: You have extensive experience in business development, financial modelling, and contractual negotiations
* Exceptional Communicator: Your outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills enable collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including corporate partners, government agencies, and researchers
* Analytical & Problem-Solving Expert: You have a highly developed ability to analyse complex issues, think conceptually, and manage projects efficiently while mitigating risks
* Organised & Goal-Oriented: Your strong planning and organisational skills ensure priorities are set, resources allocated effectively, and deadlines met within the framework of a large, complex organisation
