Ready to trade the tools for a high-tech advisory career? HEG (Home Efficiency Group) is seeking a Residential Energy Consultant to join our Southern Tasmanian team. Operating from your home office and travelling throughout the region, you will be the expert homeowners trust with the energy efficiency future. You will evaluate dwellings from the sub-floor to the roof, providing professional advice on reverse cycle air conditioning, heat pump hot water, solar, and battery storage, ducted system, insulation and more. NO COLD CALLING! All appointments are based on direct requests from prospective customers that need our advice with their residential energy efficiency investments.

Key Responsibilities
* Onsite Energy Audits: Perform physical inspections of residential dwellings (including sub-floor and ceiling cavities) to assess energy performance.
* Technical Consulting: Translate complex efficiency concepts into relatable, understandable advice for residential and small commercial clients.
* IT & Software Usage: Heavily utilise specialised solar and energy modelling simulators, plus sales software and Smartphone app to generate accurate technical proposals.
* Field Autonomy: Manage travel across Southern TAS, balancing site visits with administrative tasks from your home office, backed up by appointment setters and administrative staff.
What You’ll Need
* Technical Foundation: Ideally an Electrician, Tradesperson, or someone with high-level knowledge of residential electrical appliances.
* IT Proficiency: You must be highly IT-competent. Mastery of our digital tools is a core part of the daily workflow.
* Communication Skills: High-level written and verbal skills are essential to build rapport and deliver professional proposals.
* Physical Agility: Comfortable accessing all areas of a home and managing a busy travel schedule.
* Licensing: A current, valid car license is essential.
