ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Electricity Market & Network Modelling team is experiencing growth due to its continued success. We have built an excellent reputation based on successful delivery of high-profile modelling work for renewable developers, AEMO, and TNSPs. As Senior Electricity Market Modeller, you will:
* Lead cutting-edge market modelling projects and ensure top-quality outcomes.
* Deliver simulations, forecasts, regulatory impact assessments, and policy modelling.
* Collaborate with analysts and engineers to develop complex models that drive energy transition and project development.
* Use tools like PLEXOS to run scenario analyses and forecast market outcomes.
* Support strategic decision-making through quantitative analysis, risk assessments, and investment evaluations.
ABOUT YOU
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
* Hands-on experience in electricity market modelling or a similar analytical role.
* Proficiency with PLEXOS or equivalent modelling platforms.
* Solid understanding of electricity market structures, regulations, and policies.
* Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to manage large datasets.
* A sharp eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
* Clear, confident communication skills to translate complex technical insights for diverse audiences.
* A collaborative mindset, ready to work across multidisciplinary teams.
