Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Specialist
Infrastructure engineering specialists play a vital role in delivering complex infrastructure projects. Our team is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join us in this capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage utilities works, including trenching, conduit installation, pit construction, backfilling, and asset protection.
* Liaise with utility providers (e.g., Sydney Water, Ausgrid, Telstra, etc.) to ensure approvals and compliance with asset owner requirements.
* Interpret construction drawings and ensure accurate delivery of the utilities scope.
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews involved in utilities relocation and installation.
* Support project planning by developing short-term lookaheads, schedules, and resource plans specific to utilities.
* Prepare and manage RFIs, permits to work, ITPs, and other relevant documentation.
* Conduct quality checks, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with design and industry standards.
* Monitor safety performance and participate in site safety inspections and risk assessments.
* Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, roadworks, structures) to ensure smooth integration of utilities with broader project works.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally on large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience working on utilities relocations and service installation (water, electrical, communications, gas, stormwater, sewer, etc.).
* Strong understanding of asset owner requirements and approval processes.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Competency with project management software and MS Office Suite.
