Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Boilermaker to join the team in their Smithfield workshop. This role involves structural steel fabrication, with a focus on 6mm to 8mm fillet welds using MIG. You'll be working from detailed engineering drawings and plans, manufacturing components for overhead cranes and other lifting equipment.
The role
* Fabricate and assemble structural steel components to precise specifications
* Perform high-quality MIG welding, primarily 6mm–8mm fillet welds
* Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
* Ensure quality control and adherence to safety and welding standards
About You
* Boilermaker trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade)
* Demonstrated experience working with structural steel and MIG welding
* Proven ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and plans
* Great attitude to work and apply your skills
* Crane manufacturing experience highly regarded
* Forklift and overhead crane licence
