Overview
Peppers Silo Hotel is an inspiring $30 million redevelopment of the Kings Wharf grain silos in Launceston, Tasmania. The nine-storey hotel consists of 108 rooms, including 52 in the barrels of the former silos, and overlooks Seaport, Royal Park, the Tamar River Basin and Cataract Gorge. On the ground floor you will find Silo Day Spa, and Level 1 features Grain of the Silos with dining experiences across the restaurant, café and Woody's Bar where local produce is at the heart of all creations. Launceston, the largest city in northern Tasmania, is a gastronomic hub offering a diverse range of wineries, distilleries, markets and art galleries to explore in your down time.
Responsibilities
- Roll out the red carpet of hospitality, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP from check-in to check-out
- Confidant in communicating with guests and colleagues to ensure cohesive collaboration
- Conquer challenges alongside guests, transforming dilemmas into successful outcomes
- Promote hotel amenities and services by having a deep understanding of products and offerings
- Be the local legend, sharing information on neighbourhood hotspots and must-visit gems from your knowledge base
- Display proficiency in accurately handling reservations and managing guest accounts
Qualifications
- Innovative approach to exceeding customer service expectations
- Ability to collaborate within teams and also work independently
- Proven ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure with strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations is a valuable asset
- Willingness to embrace a flexible rotating schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends, and public holidays
