Job Description
· Review incident notification and assist and issue reports on employee incidents and accidents as they occur, assist with initial investigation.
· Manage end to end Return to Work and Injury Management processes.
· Liaise with injured worker and treating doctor and maintain medical information (i.e. certificates of capacity)
· Assist with determining medical expenses and updates to payroll.
· Assist injured workers and supervisors to identify appropriate suitable duties.
· Plan and implement and evaluate individual written rehabilitation and RTW plans.
· Manage Workcover claims and claims review meetings.
· Implement early intervention strategies to achieve timely and sustainable RTW outcomes, for both personal and work related.
· Achieve compliance in all aspects of RTW administration and reporting including FAI, MTI, LTI's.
· Reviewing company injury management policies and procedures and facilitate continuous improvement and proactive injury management.
· Attend and actively participate in monthly OHS/SHEQ meetings.
· Assist with the training needs of staff across the business.
· Arrange and book training for all staff as needed.
· Coordinate annual apprentice recruitment and selection in conjunction with State Site Operations Managers.
· Coordinate apprentice trade school enrolments with RTO and employee, sign off on training plans and monitor progress.
· Review of skills tracking progress as part of the apprentice program.
· Coordinate and schedule work experience placements with students and high school including payments.
· Manage apprentice government claim and incentives.
The Successful Applicant
- RTW coordinator training is essential
- Proven experience in a RTW, Safety or Administration role within the construction industry,
preferably in HVAC or building services.
- Develop financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Excellent self-leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and prioritising abilities.
- Knowledge of Australian workplace regulations and compliance requirements.
- Track record working successfully with privately owned entrepreneurial businesses.- High level of resilience with the ability to overcome obstacles and recover from
setbacks through personal development.
