Responsibilities
Lead project delivery including proposal preparation, fieldwork, laboratory work, data analysis and report writing.
Mentor junior freshwater ecologists.
Contribute technical leadership and specialist knowledge in aquatic environmental services.
Design, lead and contribute to projects across freshwater environments.
Undertake aquatic / water quality fieldwork in remote areas.
Technical report writing.
Qualifications
Relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field, with specialised study in freshwater ecology desirable.
At least five years of experience as an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist or water quality specialist.
Excellent data analysis skills using univariate and multivariate techniques and proven ability to prepare high standard reports.
Experience in project management including budgeting and client liaison from inception to completion.
Drivers Licence essential.
Experience in macroinvertebrate identification to species level favoured.
