TQA Consulting is seeking a Business Analyst (Justice sector) for a 3-month full-time contract in Darwin, NT. Candidates must be based in Darwin or willing to relocate and have lived in Australia for the past 5 years.

About The Role
The Business Analyst will work on the SharePoint Options and Transition Plan project as well as a range of business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, discovery and analysis documentation, capturing current and future business processes, evaluating solution options, and providing recommendations. The role will involve working closely with vendors and stakeholders and supporting the Project Manager or Director in the successful delivery of the project.
What You'll Do
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and discussions to gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements while maintaining requirements traceability.
Conduct walkthrough sessions to validate and obtain approval of business analysis deliverables.
Provide business analysis support to assess options and timelines for current and future SharePoint solutions and transition planning.
Apply appropriate business analysis techniques and tools to document requirements, objectives, processes, procedures, workflows, and work instructions.
Deliver project documentation in line with NTG project management frameworks, ensuring outputs meet agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards set by the Project Manager.
Manage sensitive information and maintain records in accordance with information management policies.
Essential Skills and Experience
Minimum 6+ years' experience as a Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst, including requirements gathering, planning, solution design, and evaluation of options related to SharePoint environments and integrations such as Nintex.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Visio, with experience or working knowledge of SharePoint and workflow platforms such as Nintex.
Demonstrated ability to apply a holistic, human-centred approach to the design of digital products, incorporating user research, interface and interaction design, information architecture, and strong project, time management, and technical/business writing skills.
Experience managing information requirements in accordance with record keeping and information management policies, including maintaining traceability of business requirements.
Strong analytical and organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to think both laterally and conceptually.
Highly effective stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and change management skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and business teams in complex environments to achieve business outcomes.
Proven experience working in collaborative, high‐performing teams delivering high‐priority outcomes within tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.
Experience supporting the end‐to‐end delivery of major business systems projects.
Experience analysing complex technical and business requirements across diverse organisational environments, roles, and processes within client agencies.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience with MS SharePoint on‐prem and online and workflow integration products.
Experience in business process modelling and technical solutions development or similar.
Experience working in the Justice Department or in a government environment.
