About the Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to curate the soundtracks to some of Melbourne's most exciting hospitality spaces.
Reporting to the leadership team and working closely with venue and events teams, you'll take ownership of the music across every moment — from laid‐back daytime sessions to high‐energy late nights.
You'll sit at the intersection of music, culture and hospitality — programming playlists, booking DJs and controlling the vibe in real time to create a venue people don't just visit, but feel.

What You'll Do
* Curate and manage music programming across all service periods, ensuring each moment aligns with the venue's brand and guest experience.
* Develop and maintain a distinct audio identity while adapting music based on crowd demographics, service flow and energy levels.
* Source, onboard and manage DJs and performers, building a strong network of talent aligned with the venue's style.
* Coordinate DJ schedules and bookings, ensuring seamless coverage across key trading periods and events.
* Actively manage the atmosphere on the floor, adjusting music in real time to enhance guest engagement and experience.
* Collaborate with venue leadership, marketing and events teams to create impactful activations, themed nights and special events.
* Curate bespoke music experiences for private functions and brand events.
* Maintain music libraries, programming calendars and talent records while continuously refreshing and evolving the offering.
* Track music trends, emerging artists and competitor venues to ensure the experience remains relevant and differentiated.
About You
You're creative, culturally aware and thrive in fast‐paced hospitality environments. You understand the power of music to shape energy, behaviour and experience. You'll also bring:
* 2–4 years' experience in hospitality, music programming, events or entertainment
* Strong knowledge of music trends, genres and audience preferences
* Experience sourcing and managing DJs or live performers
* Ability to read a room and adapt music direction in real time
* Strong organisational skills and experience managing schedules and programming
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
* High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
* A genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences
