The Launceston Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is seeking experienced Urgent Care Nurses and/or Paramedics to join our growing clinical team. Part of the Launceston Health Hub, our Urgent Care Clinic provides high-quality care for patients with urgent, non-life-threatening conditions — helping reduce pressure on hospital emergency departments while ensuring patients receive timely treatment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced urgent care environment, alongside a collaborative team of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. The clinic operates 7 days per week, with shifts available across 7:00am – 10:00pm, offering flexibility and variety.

About the Role
In this role you will:
* Triage patients presenting to the Urgent Care Clinic
* Conduct thorough clinical assessments and observations
* Identify and respond to patients requiring immediate escalation of care
* Perform procedures including wound care, suturing and plastering
* Work collaboratively with GPs and clinical staff to deliver high-quality care
* Provide patient education and support positive health outcomes
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Registered Nurse (AHPRA) or qualified Paramedic
* Experience in urgent care, emergency, acute or primary care settings (highly regarded)
* Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
* The ability to remain calm and effective in a busy clinical environment
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) check, or willingness to obtain
