Science Teacher Vacancy
Mater Dei College has an opportunity for a full-time, temporary Science Teacher to join the College's Science Learning Area.
We are seeking a vibrant, passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to helping our students reach their full potential. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism while supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the College.
The role involves implementing effective teaching strategies to engage and challenge students of varying abilities to achieve specific learning outcomes. This includes fostering a stimulating, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment designed to support student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implementing effective teaching strategies to engage and challenge students
• Fostering a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
• Planning and programming for classes within the Science Learning Area
• Assessing student performance in accordance with College procedures
• Meeting deadlines set by the Head of Learning Area and College Executive
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Education, preferably in Science
• Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) or equivalent
• Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
• Current Working with Children Check
• Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School, Accreditation to Teach Religious Education or Accreditation for Leadership in Catholic Schools
